Southern Districts Football Club Domestic Violence Action Plan
Domestic, family, and sexual violence affects people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds across Australia. It damages families, undermines communities, and leaves lasting impacts on individuals. At Southern Districts Football Club, we recognise that sport holds a unique place in Australian culture — it brings people together, builds resilience, and helps shape values. With that influence comes responsibility.
Our Domestic Violence Action Plan is built on the belief that every person deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued — on and off the field. Violence is never acceptable in any form, whether physical, sexual, emotional, mental, social, verbal, economic, spiritual, culturally abusive, child or elder abuse, or cyberbullying.
As a club, we are committed to playing our part in breaking the cycle of domestic and family violence. This means not only supporting victims and survivors, but also providing pathways for genuine rehabilitation for those who have caused harm and are committed to change.
Through education, awareness, and leadership, Southern Districts Football Club aims to foster a culture of respect, equality, and accountability — because creating change starts with all of us.
